The Federal Government has handed over the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu to Aero Alliance Limited as part of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) deal aimed at boosting infrastructure and efficiency.

Keyamo revealed that Governor Otti successfully persuaded President Tinubu to support the Abia International Airport project, with negotiations also underway for direct international cargo flights from China to Enugu's Akanu Ibiam International Airport.

Nigeria's Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, facilitated an agreement between aviation unions and the concessionaire of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, leading to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
