Police in Aparri, Cagayan, confiscated a loaded gun and a knife from three Grade 10 students during a security inspection at the Aparri School of Arts and Trades.

Several areas in the Philippines, including Aparri and parts of Visayas, experienced dangerous heat index levels, with temperatures reaching 42ºC. This led to Cagayan province declaring a state of calamity due to drought and other related issues.
