Atiba University has been prohibited from offering its law program for a period of 10 years by legal councils. This decision comes as the Law School approves five new law faculties elsewhere, placing Atiba University under a moratorium.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Atiba University in Oyo State. The ultimatum demands a resolution to the crisis preventing students and graduates of its Law program from progressing to the Nigerian Law School.
