A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has named Avinash Shukla, who was responsible for counting cash offerings at the Ram Temple, as the prime accused in a donation case, according to a preliminary report.

Fresh financial leads have emerged in the Ram Temple donation embezzlement case, with accused Avinash Shukla detailing spending of Rs 19 lakh on family, friends, and personal purchases.

Police have taken Avinash Shukla into custody for cash recovery in connection with the alleged theft of donations from the Ram Temple. A meeting of the Temple Trust is scheduled for July 6 to discuss the ongoing probe.
