The Catalan Health Department (Salut) has extended an offer of dialogue to doctors who are refusing to work overtime in numerous hospitals, reiterating that working conditions are negotiated through established channels.

The Catalan Health Department has presented a budget of 13.501 billion euros, with a projected spending of 17.250 billion euros for 2026, showing less than a 4% increase from the previous year.

The Catalan health department initially proposed paying nurses to prescribe fewer adult diapers but later reversed the decision following a complaint filed with the Ombudsman (Síndic de Greuges).
