The Netherlands has seen an explosive increase in thefts from fire stations in locations like Maassluis, Aalsmeer, and Ten Boer, with criminals stealing essential rescue tools and impeding life-saving operations.

Dutch fire services warn that a series of thefts of equipment from 35 fire stations since the beginning of the year could lead to life-threatening situations, calling the acts 'anti-social and unacceptable'.
