A new scientific method has allowed researchers to identify what is believed to be the oldest library in the Iberian Peninsula, located in a private room within a Roman villa in Fuente Álamo, Córdoba.

The Fuente Álamo site has revealed the architectural style of Roman libraries, preserving an exceptional combination of evidence and marking it as the westernmost Roman Empire library.
