Forestry crews are set to begin removing dangerous trees in Merlin Woods, Galway, this autumn as part of the clean-up operation following Storm Éowyn, with campaigners working to protect wildlife and heritage.
Plans have been announced for a new housing development in Galway city, which is set to include 39 homes.
