The Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission has moved to complete the legislative assembly by allocating nine reserved seats after previously notifying 21 winners.

The Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission Secretariat has released a fresh schedule for assembly elections to be held on June 7, with nominations from April 16-20, and local government polls set for June 14.

The Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission has directed that the results of the June 7 election must not be consolidated until re-polling in five constituencies is completed.

The Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission announced the end of election campaigning 48 hours before polling day, prohibiting all election-related activities in the region.
