Don Iwerks, a former Disney executive and co-founder of Iwerks Entertainment known for his cinematic innovations, has passed away peacefully at the age of 96.

Donald Iwerks, son of Mickey Mouse co-creator Ub Iwerks and a key innovator in cinematic storytelling, passed away on July 9 at the age of 96 after over six decades of work on Disney projects.
