A cleric, a lawyer, and four other individuals have been arrested under the UAPA act in a Ghaziabad village for their alleged connections to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militant group.

India's Ministry of Home Affairs has designated 23 Pakistan-based individuals, including members of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), as terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The individuals are linked to various terror activities, including attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
