The Calcutta High Court rejected a plea from the Mamata-led faction of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) to operate party accounts worth Rs 440 crore. The court denied interim relief, stating there was no case for their request.

The Mamata faction of the TMC party has accused rebel Members of Parliament of lacking political morality and ethics, labeling them opportunists attempting to engineer a split within the party.
