Mr. Adeyemi was arrested hours after a Federal High Court in Abuja issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with a fake agency scandal.

A fake agency director, Mr. Adeyemi, successfully outsmarted federal officials by using fraudulent letters to secure Central Bank of Nigeria accounts and office space for his non-existent agency.

Mr. Adeyemi has stated he is unsure of Mr. Gbajabiamila’s role in the 'Fake Agency Scandal,' after previously accusing him of issuing an appointment letter that was later disowned.

Mr. Adeyemi faces up to 21 years without a fine option for several charges and up to three years with a fine option for another. The government has listed Gbajabiamila and ten other individuals as witnesses in the ongoing case.

Police have launched a manhunt for Mr. Adeyemi, visiting his parents' home in Ogbomoso multiple times, in connection with a fake agency scandal.

Mr. Adeyemi, the controversial 'DG' of a government-disowned agency, spoke from hiding, denying wrongdoing and claiming the government's actions were a "defense mechanism" against him in the Gbajabiamila/Adeyemi scandal.
