The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has taken a significant lead in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, securing 23 seats, with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in second place with nine seats. Voter turnout was encouraging, reaching 46.3% in Mirpur Division and 53% in Muzaffarabad Division.

All arrangements are in place for the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) polls, with voting to be held for 9 Muzaffarabad division and 12 refugee constituencies.

Traders and transporters in Muzaffarabad division announced they would resume normal operations from Sunday after the administration assured them of security and uninterrupted fuel supplies, distancing themselves from the JAAC.
