The departure of the Dutch cruise ship Hondius from Rotterdam to Vlissingen has been postponed. The owner, Oceanwide Expeditions, stated that the vessel requires additional cleaning before heading to its home port, following advice from health authorities.

The CEO of Oceanwide Expeditions stated that information gathered so far strongly indicates that a deadly hantavirus outbreak, which affected their cruise ship, did not originate on the vessel itself.
