Moldova's National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has extended the use of gas transportation routes via the Trans-Balkan pipeline until September 30, 2026. The Ministry of Energy stated that this decision is expected to lead to a reduction in gas tariffs.

The natural gas transport routes through the Trans-Balkan pipeline have been extended. Gas is now expected to circulate through the pipeline until at least the end of the gas year.

A Trans-Balkan gas pipeline and Vertical Corridor project, involving gas operators from Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine, is moving forward without the participation of North Macedonia, according to the Greek gas network operator DESFA.
