Following a summit between President Trump and President Xi, China committed to significantly increase its imports of US agricultural products, including beef and poultry. The White House also stated that China agreed to address US concerns regarding rare earth shortages.

The White House announced that China has agreed to purchase at least US$17 billion in US agricultural products annually. This commitment comes as trade talks between the two nations resume.
