Great Pacific Garbage Patch Becomes Habitat for Invertebrate Species
A massive "island" of plastic in the Pacific Ocean, known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, has transformed into a natural habitat supporting 46 species of invertebrate animals, a result of marine currents and human pollution.
