Vilnius Implements New Plan for Access to Shelters After Air Raid Alarm Issues

Vilnius has enough shelter space for one million residents, nearly double its official population, but a May air raid alarm revealed access issues. A new plan is being implemented to address these shortcomings and ensure residents can access shelters.

Sostinėje skaičiuojamo priedangų ploto užtektų 1 mln. gyventojų, t. y. beveik dvigubai tiek, kiek Vilniuje oficialiai yra gyventojų. Tačiau gegužę kilęs oro pavojus atskleidė spragas dėl faktinio patekimo į jas – dalis žmonių negalėjo patekti į priedangas, nes jos užrakintos, kiti į jas nebuvo įleisti.
