Kolem kontejnerů v Třinci pobíhá mnohem méně potkanů než dřív. Deratizátoři teď kladli pasti, a dokonce na žádné přímo nenarazili. Přispělo k tomu i třídění gastroodpadu. Město nechává návnady na potkany rozmisťovat do podzemních nádob dvakrát ročně.
