Doctor found guilty of nerve severance during surgery at Ako Citizens Hospital, medical accident
In 2020, at the Citizens Hospital in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture, a doctor was indicted for professional negligence resulting in injury after mistakenly severing a female patient's nerve during surgery, causing severe disability. The Kobe District Court Himeji Branch handed down a suspended sentence.
