IUCN Warns Deep-Sea Mining Threatens Mollusks Near Hydrothermal Vents

An update from the I.U.C.N. states that deep-sea mining poses a significant threat to snails and other mollusks that have evolved to thrive around hydrothermal vents, potentially driving more than half of them to extinction.
