US Closes Consulate General in Peshawar, Pakistan Citing Staff Safety

The United States has closed its Consulate General in Peshawar, Pakistan, citing concerns for the safety of its diplomatic staff. Diplomatic engagement with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province will now be handled by the US Embassy in Islamabad.
