Izrael a USA otvorene vyzvali tamojšie obyvateľstvo na zvrhnutie náboženského režimu. Reakcia Teheránu na seba nenechala dlho čakať. Náčelník polície Ahmad-Rezá Radan vyhlásil, že bezpečnostné zložky sú v plnej pohotovosti a s každým protestujúcim budú zaobchádzať ako s ozbrojeným nepriateľom štátu.
