Self-Defense Force aircraft departs for Maldives in preparation for Japanese evacuation from Middle East

Self-Defense Force aircraft departed for the Maldives, located southeast of Iran, early on the 8th to handle the evacuation of Japanese travelers and others remaining in the Middle East. This is in preparation for cases where chartered planes arranged by the government cannot be used or when the number of evacuees exceeds expectations.
