Iceland’s Minister of Justice has outlined plans to significantly reduce the number of police districts across the country as part of a proposed restructuring of the national police system. At present, Iceland has nine police districts, but Justice Minister Þorbjörg Sigríður Gunnlaugsdóttir intends to reduce that number to between four and five.
