Shimane Nuclear Plant Unit 2 Used Incorrect Reactor Part for Over 30 Years
Chugoku Electric Power revealed that Shimane Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2 mistakenly used a test-mockup part in its reactor for over 30 years, which had a smaller cooling water hole diameter than designed, causing one fuel assembly's cooling efficiency to fall below company standards.
