Indian Platforms Penalized for Deceiving Consumers with Dark Patterns

Nine platforms, including Zepto, IndiGo, and Physics Wallah, have been penalized for deceiving consumers, following an advisory issued by the CCPA in June 2025 urging e-commerce platforms to conduct self-audits to detect and eliminate 'dark patterns' in their user interfaces.
