Kenyan MPs Avert 16% VAT Rise on Electric Bikes and Buses

Kenyan Members of Parliament have successfully prevented a proposed 16% increase in the price of electric bikes and buses, which would have resulted from reclassifying them from zero-rated to VAT-exempt in the 2026 Finance Bill.
