František Wiendl, Anti-Nazi and Anti-Communist Fighter, Dies at 102

František Wiendl, honorary chairman of the Confederation of Political Prisoners and a fighter against both Nazism and Communism, has passed away at the age of 102. He participated in anti-Nazi resistance during WWII and anti-Communist resistance after 1948, helping dozens escape across borders.

Ve věku 102 let zemřel František Wiendl, bojovník proti nacismu i komunismu

Ve věku 102 let zemřel čestný předseda Konfederace politických vězňů František Wiendl. Za druhé světové války se účastnil protinacistického a po roce 1948 i protikomunistického odboje a pomohl uprchnout za hranice několika desítkám lidí, které režim pronásledoval. Desítku let kvůli tomu strávil v komunistických vězeních včetně jáchymovských uranových dolů. O Wiendlově úmrtí informovala Paměť národa.
