Japan's crude oil imports from Middle East drop 61.9% in May due to Hormuz blockade
Japan's trade statistics for May show a 61.9% year-on-year decrease in crude oil imports from the Middle East, attributed to the ongoing de facto blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Imports of volatile oils, including naphtha, also fell by 90%.
