Children Outnumber Women in Portuguese Shelter Homes for Domestic Violence
For the first time in Portugal, the number of children in shelter homes for domestic violence victims has surpassed that of women. In the first three months of the year, 1,383 people were sheltered, with 684 being children, while arrests for domestic violence also increased.
