Malaysia Targets Rail Cable Theft with Stricter Penalties and Surveillance

The Malaysian government is finalizing amendments to its rail transport law to impose heavier penalties, including potential RM100,000 fines, for rail cable theft. The initiative also includes the installation of 1,146 new CCTV cameras to deter such crimes.
