A charge has been stayed against a Saskatchewan Mountie who failed to respond promptly to a wellness check for Lyle Cisna, who later died after lying injured for hours in his home.

Lyle Cisna lay on the floor of his home near Maidstone, Sask., for hours, bleeding from a head wound. The RCMP received a call asking for someone to check on him, but an officer didn't respond until more than 10 hours later. Cisna died the next day.
