Hungary Explores Radical Solutions as Lake Velence Faces Severe Drought
With Lake Velence in Hungary now showing persistent drought symptoms, radical new solutions, including drawing water from the Danube, wastewater, or deep drilling, are being considered to save it. This follows the start of reconstruction on two reservoirs designed to replenish the lake, where water levels could drop below 30 centimeters this summer.
