Portuguese Artists Protest Cuts to Cultural Merit Subsidies
Eleven Portuguese artists are contesting cuts to the Cultural Merit Subsidy, which the Ministry of Culture states are based on uniform criteria recommended by the IGF. The subsidies, ranging from 128 to 600 euros monthly, primarily benefit artists averaging 80 years old.
