Japan's Opposition DPP Declines to Join Ruling Bloc Over Consumption Tax Cut

Japan's opposition Democratic Party for the People (DPP) has decided not to join the ruling bloc for now, citing disagreements over a consumption tax cut. Some within the LDP had sought to include the DPP before an extraordinary parliamentary session.
