Netherlands to Increase Road Tax for Carriers, Switching to Kilometer-Based System
A significant change for carriers across Europe will take effect on July 1, 2026, as the Netherlands will substantially increase road taxes. The country is abandoning its vignette system and transitioning to a kilometer-based "Vrachtwagenheffing" charge.
