Bacterium Kills Blue Tits in Finland, Bird Feeding Discouraged
A bacterium is causing deaths among blue tits in Finland, prompting the Finnish Food Authority to recommend that residents stop feeding birds. While the bacterium is not known to pose a risk to humans, people are advised not to touch dead birds with bare hands.
