Oaxaca Mayor Assassinated After Requesting Protection
Joel Bravo, the mayor of San Miguel Amatitlán in Oaxaca, Mexico, was killed by armed men. Party representatives stated that Bravo had previously informed state authorities of fears for his life and requested government protection at a security meeting on May 11.
