28% increase in passports issued by the Italian Consulate in Dubai

(ANSA) - ROMA, 28 LUG - The Consulate General of Italy in Dubai reports that in the first six months of 2026, it issued 1,340 passports, compared to 1,046 during the same period in 2025. This represents a 28% increase. “This increase,” explains the consulate, “did not occur in spite of the conflict, but rather because of the conflict.” Furthermore, the consular offices remained open throughout March to renew expiring passports and issue first passports to newborns.
