Chhattisgarh villagers rescue deer from dogs, then kill it, cook and eat; 5 held

In a disturbing incident from Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, a group of villagers went from rescuing a spotted deer from a pack of dogs to allegedly killing and devouring it. Following a tip-off, forest officials discovered deer meat in five residences and apprehended five suspects who admitted their actions.
