Polish Children's Rights Ombudsman Intervenes to End Ice Cream Promotion

The Polish Children's Rights Ombudsman has requested a Pszczyna ice cream parlor to cease a 25-year-old promotion offering free ice cream to students with good grades. The Ombudsman believes the promotion could discriminate against children and create unnecessary pressure.

Rzecznik Praw Dziecka wysłał do jednej z pszczyńskich lodziarni pismo z prośbą o zaprzestanie promocji, która w ocenie RPD może dyskryminować dzieci i prowadzić do niepotrzebnej presji. Lodziarnia od ćwierć wieku rozdawała za darmo lody uczniom, którzy otrzymali czerwony pasek na świadectwie.
