Report: Ter Stegen set to join Ajax Amsterdam on loan

German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is close to joining Ajax Amsterdam on a one-year loan deal from Barcelona, Spanish sports newspaper AS reported on Thursday. The 34-year-old, who missed the World Cup after a litany of injuries, no longer has any prospect of a regular starting place at the Spanish champions.
