Man awarded Rs 2.33 lakh after insurance denial for wife's brain tumour surgery

An Indian man was awarded Rs 2.33 lakh (approximately $2,800 USD) after a consumer court ruled that an insurance company wrongly denied his claim for his wife's brain tumour surgery. The court ordered the insurer to pay the amount with interest and compensation for mental agony.
