Middle East Conflict Predicted to Slow Global Trade Growth in 2026
The World Trade Organization (WTO) forecasts a significant slowdown in global trade, projecting a reduction to one-third of its previous growth, primarily attributed to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which is expected to cut half a point from trade growth, bringing it down to 1.4%.
