Fukushima Daiichi Unit 2 to Begin Spent Fuel Removal in June

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) announced that it will begin removing spent nuclear fuel from the fuel pool of Fukushima Daiichi Unit 2 in early June, a process expected to take over two years.

東京電力は、廃炉作業が行われている福島第一原子力発電所で、来月前半から2号機の燃料プールに残されている使用済み核燃料の搬出を始めると発表しました。2年以上かけて搬出する計画で、東京電力は「慎重に作業を進める」としています。
