About 40% of junior high school teachers exceed national overtime limits, 7% exceed the karoshi line

Amid concerns over teachers' long working hours, a Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology survey revealed that approximately 40% of junior high school teachers work overtime exceeding the national limit, and a further 7% exceed the so-called 'karoshi line' (death from overwork).
