JR East Unveils Design for New 'SOAR' Shinkansen Inspection Train

JR East has unveiled the design for its new dedicated Shinkansen inspection vehicle, named 'SOAR,' which will inspect tracks and facilities at speeds up to 320 kilometers per hour. It is scheduled for introduction by fiscal year 2029, replacing the current 'East-i' vehicle.
