Bee Plague Discovered in Valašské Meziříčí, Beekeepers Forced to Burn Hives
Beekeepers in Valašské Meziříčí, Czech Republic, have discovered American foulbrood, a bee plague, forcing them to burn infected bee colonies and equipment as the only defense. Hives, frames, wax, and euthanized bee colonies were destroyed in a field outside the city.
